Recipe Book

I know, I'm so terrible at blogging lately. I've been kind of on the go and then when I'm not... I'm like a sloth haha

Over the past little while, I've been working on a project for myself and I finally completed it!

I don't really cook... well I can... if I follow a recipe. So my Mom had all these magazines that had recipes in them so she gave them to me and I typed them up, and transferred them into my new cookbook!

I like to have pictures, I am a visual person so I found the matching pictures online and put it together. I have 5 tabs. Breakfast, sauces and dips, soups and salads, entrees, desserts, and big boss. Big boss is a grill my Mom got me when I moved into my first place and it had a huge recipe book for it.

It was a really easy project - just time consuming! I ended up having to buy a bigger binder because I had so many recipes! The cover is a template I found on the internet. It is located here. You can get it in a couple different colors. I chose pink because I likey :) As you can tell by my blog... haha

And here it is stored with the rest of my cookbooks (although I don't really use the traditional English because after I went through it there wasn't much I found appealing.... not to mention I haven't even heard of most of them. #PortugueseProblems) Yes I just hash tagged on my blog... It was the only way to adequately explain the situation!

Yay! It looks so pretty :) And I've already successfully cooked two dishes out of it!

I have also started making a weekly menu and then getting the groceries needed for the week. It saves me from being overwhelmed with all the things we could eat for dinner and making sure we have the right ingredients. First week of that plan = successful. Eventually I want to get this from Etsy. It's so pretty!

It can be found here

Until then, the weekly menu will be in the memos on my phone! That is all for today. Make sure to keep checking the 365 day project. I update that every couple days or so and I've also updated the bucket list and places I want to travel! :)

Church and Reception - Check

I'm kind of bad at keeping up with this whole blog thing. Especially lately. On the bright side, I've stuck to my 365 day challenge! I'm back from Toronto, unfortunately (sort of hah). The weather here in B.C. is typical.... rain. My skin is already going back to albino.

We've been really busy this past week with moving. We are all in our new place now but still have lots of unpacking and stuff to do. I've also been kind of not feeling well this past week so that also contributes to why unpacking has been quite slow.

My cousins wedding was really fun, I'll post some pictures from that in another post which will hopefully be soon. I'll also post pictures of the new place once it is all put together ... that might take a while haha.

So for the real reason for this post. The wedding is officially booked for May 24th, 2014. After some huge hassles, I managed to book a church and the reception (which was the easiest part). I'll explain the story of the church later but I booked St. Paul's United Church for the ceremony. I previously said I was booking a different one but ... you wait for that story. I booked Speranza Banquet Hall for the reception which was the original plan. That part was easy because during my visit in April, we had written up a rough draft of the contract.

Anywho... in my next post I will explain what happened with the other church I wanted. I will also post those pictures. Ta ta for now!
